WHERE DOES THE TIME GO: HOW TIME TICKS AND MAKING THE MOST OF LIFE IS IMPORTANT

“Keep yourself busy, time surely does.”

Get up, go to work, come home, eat sleep, do it all over again. So many people have a daily routine that consists of the same thing day in and day out. Never trying anything new in life, their life remains constant. Then the days go by and before you know it, you have spent years doing nothing. This is the life for so many people in America. Totally fine if you’re doing something you love to do for a living. But there are so many people who don’t; and for them it’s depressing. Well why, why do so many people waste time doing nothing with their lives.

See, me myself, I work two part time jobs while working on my real career path. So after work I work on my novels, screenplays, and filmmaking in the computer lab. Since 2012 I have been continuously working at getting better and better. From the moment I sit in the seat in the computer lab, you’d be surprised how much time ticks away. There have been days I enter the lab at 9:00 a.m., then look up and it’s 1:00 p.m. I continue to work and next thing I know the clock is at 7:00 p.m. I look outside to confirm this change in time. The sky is dark and evening has set in, while I work for the next few hours. At roughly 10:40 p.m. I leave and go home. It’s tough because you’re working toward something, yet no income is initially coming in.

But what about the others, what about the people who do nothing but exist. They not only just work their jobs, they hate their jobs, and see themselves going nowhere. What a tough way to live your life. Some of these people will find their way and eventually land on their feet. Others will never find their way and forever live in misery. Such a tortured life, live to the end and regret every minute of it. Sitting around and watching everyone else live thier lives, yet you never make a move to live your own life. Well, why do people sit around and not make a move with their lives.

Some of it is due to the lack of motivation and some comes from the fact that they are not good at anything. Not having a real discernable skill is depressing as well. Because having a discernable skill not only aids in you generating a living, but also contributes to your happiness. See, in the end, we all have this idea of where we want to be in life. Getting there is the hard part. Problem is, most people will never reach that point. Not only reach that point, but will also never find what it is they’re good at in life.
